The object of this society shall be to extend medical knowledge and advance medical science; to elevate the standard of medical education; to secure the enactment of just medical and health laws; to promote friendly intercourse among society members and fellow physicians; to safeguard the professional and economic integrity of society members and to maintain them in appropriate and equitable relationship with the public and with all agencies working in the fields of health & welfare; and to enlighten and direct public opinion in regard to problems of medicine.
