2024 Workers' Compensation Application Process
Before starting the application process, please review the Following:
As of 2020, all New York State Workers' Compensation applications must be completed online.
Workers' Comp will send Richmond County Medical Society your completed application to review and credential.
Paper applications are no longer accepted and will be returned to the sender.
First, please make sure that at least one (1) practice location is in Richmond County. If not, select the county where your office is located.
Next: The applying physician will have to go through all three of the following steps:
- Create a profile and login.
- Complete approximately 2 hours of required online training.
- Once the above steps are done, you can begin the application and upload the required documents listed below.
Note: ALL documents have to be submitted online and you cannot leave an application in progress.
If all of the required documents are not uploaded at the time you submit your application, your application will not be processed.
- Copy of current curriculum vitae (CV)
- Copy of current Board Registration(s) - If not Board Certified, proof of successful completion of a 3-year residency program
Payment
Payment/s are accepted in the form of a check for $700.00 (non-members).
There is a discounted rate of $450 for active RCMS members in good standing.
Please make your check out to: Richmond County Medical Society.
Please include in the check the name and contact information of the physician/s.

Workers' Comp processing fees are non-refundable regardless of outcome.
Application review will not begin without fee payment.
You will be contacted directly from Workers' Comp for additional document(s) if necessary.
